I like our curbside recycling in theory (especially since the city just added more plastics to the allowable list), but it seems pretty flawed. You're supposed to put everything in one bin and leave it out at six a.m. Of course, by the time the recycling truck swings by at two p.m...most of the paper has blown away.
For awhile there, our neighbors were using their recycling bin for trash. Oh, no, I feel a mini-rant coming on...they don't recycle, they put out two or three huge trash cans every week with the aluminum cans clearly visible, they smoke in the house even though it's forbidden by our landlord...argh!
And the city didn't pick up our trash this week. Just ours. Gr.
